The Avoca Hotel is a grand old Victorian goldfields pub with fabulous food, local wines and boutique beers served in a beautifully renovated, cosy interior. The Avoca’s extraordinary list of beers has over 200 listed. Each beer is described in detail to make it as easy as possible to find something you’ll like. Sponsored by Lord Nelson Brewery, The Avoca is the very worthy winner of Best Beer List.

Whether on tap or available by the glass, every good restaurant will carry a good range of local beers as well as a clever selection of imported beers.

Judges comments:

Fascinating array of sake leads into a proudly local list. Well priced regional wines are strewn across the ‘by the glass’ collection. The list is divided into ‘Local’ and ‘Not Local’, with those from further afield often from less well known varieties and regions, but quality wines, nonetheless. The value resides here locally.
